About

wild oaks quilting is my place to share my creative side….separate from the horsey side (www.wild-oaks-ranch.com).   I am Doctor Mom, married to my best friend, Jerry, and live on our ranch in Paradise, TX (yes, that’s right, I can say I literally live in paradise!). We breed, raise, and show warmblood dressage horses.  When not riding, I’m probably quilting and can be found in “the sweat shop”, as Jerry has dubbed my quilting studio.  I have two children, Jamie Fulton, who is a successful brewmaster at Community Beer Company, and Sarah Fulton-Smith, who is finisihing her PhD in soil science and is also a young horse trainer. I have 3 beautiful and active grandsons. I drew and painted when I was young, sewed in high school and medical school, but there was a 20 year hiatus when the demands of family, my practice, and the horses consumed all of my time.  I have been quilting for about 8 years and love the whole process, from fabric selection, to creating my own designs, and to quilting the final product.
